Answers for merchants using Souvely on Shopify.
What is Souvely?
Souvely is a Shopify Product Personalizer for merchants selling engraved, monogrammed, and custom products. Customers personalize with text or images on the product page; you receive the design details and any personalization fees with the order.
How do I get started?
Install Souvely from the Shopify App Store, enable the Souvely storefront theme embed (Theme settings → App embeds), create a personalization rule, assign it to a product, then test on your online store. The in-app Setup checklist walks through each step.
Do I need to edit my theme code?
No. Souvely uses a theme app embed. Turn on Souvely storefront in the theme editor and save — no liquid edits required.
What can shoppers personalize?
Depending on your rule: text, image upload, or both — on the front, back, or both sides. You can set character limits, fonts, size limits, and optional personalization areas on a product mockup.
How do personalization fees work?
You set a charge for text and/or image on each side. When a shopper personalizes, matching fee line items are added in cart and checkout so the extra cost is clear.
Will fee products show in my catalog?
Fee products are created for checkout and kept out of the normal assignable catalog. Shoppers shouldn’t browse them as standalone products.
Where do I see what customers ordered?
Open Souvely → Orders for personalized line items, text, sizes, and design previews. You can also open the order in Shopify admin.
What is Free Beta?
Free Beta is $0 and lets you use Souvely on your live Shopify store for up to 10 personalized products, with both product and collection assignment. It is a real beta — not a limited demo — and includes the full personalization toolkit. See Pricing.
How do Starter and Unlimited differ?
After Free Beta, Starter is $9.99/mo (up to 30 personalized products) and Unlimited is $19.99/mo (unlimited products). Personalization features and collection assignment are available on every plan; product limits are what change.
Does it work with collections?
Yes. Free Beta, Starter, and Unlimited all allow assigning rules to products or Shopify collections (product caps still apply on Free Beta and Starter).
