Quotes & B2B FAQ

Answers for merchants using Souvely: Quotes & B2B on Shopify.

What is Souvely Quotes & B2B?

Souvely: Quotes & B2B is a Shopify app for merchants who need a quote-request workflow — a storefront quote cart, eligibility rules, merchant quote editing, customer portal, branded emails/PDFs, and conversion to Shopify draft orders so buyers pay through Shopify checkout.

How do customers request a quote?

Shoppers add eligible products to the quote cart (theme app blocks / embed), fill in the fields you require (name, email, and optional company, phone, PO, tax ID, notes, addresses), and submit. You review the request in the Souvely admin, adjust lines/pricing as needed, and send the quote.

What are eligibility rules?

Rules control which products or collections can be quoted, minimum quantities/cart values, customer tags, markets, and other conditions. Basic eligibility is included on Starter; advanced rules are on Unlimited.

Can I require custom fields on the quote form?

Yes. Configure required and optional fields such as company name, phone, purchase order, tax ID, notes, and addresses so B2B buyers provide what you need before a quote is submitted.

How do Starter and Unlimited differ?

Both plans include unlimited quote requests (no per-quote fees). Starter covers quote cart, eligibility, custom fields, PDFs, multi-currency fundamentals, draft-order conversion, emails, and basic analytics. Unlimited adds negotiation and counteroffers, advanced rules, multilingual experience, deposits and payment terms, and advanced analytics. Staff permissions and assignment, discount approval rules, and integrations / API are coming soon · Winter 2026–27. Default list prices are Starter $14.99/mo and Unlimited $29.99/mo (flat monthly Shopify Billing; confirm in-app).

How do customers pay?

Payment runs through Shopify. When you convert an accepted quote, Souvely creates a Shopify draft order (and invoice/checkout as you use Shopify). Souvely does not store card numbers — Shopify Checkout handles payment.

What emails do customers get?

Quote lifecycle emails (received, sent, updates, and related notices) are sent through Resend from a Souvely Quotes sender such as quotes@mail.souvely.com, with your brand name and reply-to when configured. Merchants can also receive new-request notifications.

What is the customer portal?

Each quote can include a secure portal link (tokenized URL) so the buyer can view the quote, respond, and continue the workflow without logging into your Shopify admin. Portal access is scoped to that quote.

Does negotiation require Unlimited?

Yes. Counteroffers and negotiation workflows are Unlimited-plan features. Starter focuses on request → quote → draft-order conversion.
